In the education process, of course, there is a role for educators and students. According to Ki Hajar Dewantara, education is a process carried out by educators and students to achieve an expected goal.

Just like education, according to Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thought, education is defined as a guide in the life of the growth of children.

Meaning that it guides all nature that exists in children so that they can achieve the highest safety and happiness. -high both as a human being and as a society.

Of course this is centered on the nature that exists in children so that education needs to guide children so that the nature that exists in children can be found and developed properly.

Meaning that it can be said that every child has unique and different potential, therefore as educators it is our job to help children to discover and develop the potential that exists in children.

The role of educators is very influential on the growth and development of a child.

Although they cannot change the nature of the child, they are able to help children find safety and happiness both as individuals and as a global community.

An educator can be likened to a farmer who essentially has the same obligations as farmers.

A farmer who plants rice can pay attention to and improve soil conditions in the fields by providing manure and water and eradicating all existing pests, even though rice plants can be repaired as much as possible but still a farmer cannot change the nature of rice plants to other plants because in reality rice plants are still rice plants.

Likewise how to care for it, of course it is not the same as caring for other plants but it is undeniable that it can improve the condition of the rice plant to become more fertile and even it can also produce larger rice plants compared to rice plants which it ignores, but not for change its nature as a rice plant.

Thus education should be carried out, even though it cannot change the nature of the child but is able to lead him to discover the potential that exists in the child.

This can be done by accompanying and paying attention to all the abilities that exist in the child according to the stages of child development and the rapid development of the times so that the child can develop and grow according to their nature.

Which of course is very beneficial for the growth and development of a child and brings him to the highest safety and happiness both as a human being and as a society as education according to the thought of Ki Hajar Dewantara.
